Engineering Service Manager
Based in Haywards Heath and reporting to the Senior Engineer. The Service Engineering Manager will need experience of commissioning and fault finding of complex automated machinery.
Forming part of the sales team,the job involves servicing existing customers and winning new business.
The successful candidate will be required to be technically competent with pneumatics
And electrics. Capable of reading diagrams, fault finding and rectification.
In-depth product knowledge of standard machines is required.
To pass enquiries for new machines or other company products to the Sales
department.
Co-ordinating all activities in the service and spares department, including liaison with the Senior Managers, customer services, field sales, finance, warehouse and other departments as necessary.
Line management of the Service Engineers
Organising and conducting servicing and repairs of equipment, on and offsite.
Attending FAT, installation and commissioning of relevant new equipment, including travel to Principals' and customers' premises as required, or delegating these activities to the Service Engineers when appropriate.
Supporting sales activities, including attending sales meetings, assisting with quotations and demonstrations, pricing components and spares, and assisting with exhibitions including set-up and break-down.
Travel to visit customers' or Principals' premises and exhibitions will be required, involving out of hours or weekend and overnight stays. A willingness to be flexible is expected.
Salary circa £25,000 depending on experience.
